How do I create a virtual tour?

This article reviews the process of creating and editing virtual tours.

When families are looking for care, they want to know the program they choose is clean, safe, and comfortable for their children. With health safety concerns, misaligned schedules, and other scheduling factors it can be hard or impossible to accommodate a family's in-person tour request.

Virtual tours can be a great alternative to show families around your program, give you time to connect and help families feel comfortable enrolling in your program. Let's take a look at how to set create those virtual tours.

Creating A Virtual Tour

  1. Navigate to the Tours tool in your Enrollment Concierge.

  2. Click on the tab that says "Tour Settings".

  3. When the page loads, click the pencil icon beside "Weekly Tour Availability".

  4. From the Tour Availability pop-up, check the box next to the day of the week you want to add availability for virtual tours.

  5. Select a start time and an end time for the availability window.

  6. Check the "Virtual Tour" box for the availability window in which you would like to host virtual tours.

  7. Click the yellow "Save Changes" to complete the process.

Adding Your Virtual Tour Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Tours tool.

  2. Click on the tab that says "Tour Settings".

  3. When the page loads, scroll to the bottom of the screen and location the section that says "Tour Policies".

  4. Click the button that says "Update Tour Policies" to display the "Change Tour Policies" pop-up.

  5. From the Change Tour Policies pop-up, enter your tour policy in the section labeled "Tour Policy".

  6. Then, copy and paste your virtual tour link (we recommend zoom) into the section titled "Virtual Tour Instructions".

  7. Click the "Save Changes" to complete the process.

When should I use this option?

Virtual tours became popular when COVID restrictions prevented families from being able to see programs in person. While health safety reasons are still a great example of when to do virtual tours, some programs opt for these tours during the school day so families can see what life in the program looks like without disrupting classrooms.
